At present, the House of the Mediterranean portal promotes the activities of Mediterranean-based professional networks that share its values of openness, North-South parity and priority to concrete economic projects with follow-up in the long-term. The portal provides information on events organised by the networks and in this manner contributes to greater awareness of the shared economic future of the Mediterranean region countries.
In the future, the House of the Mediterranean in Paris will be a venue of choice for formal and informal meetings between stakeholders from the worlds of politics, enterprise, academia, and associations and networks endeavouring to build a common future for the Mediterranean. It will serve as a permanent forum for the work of up-and-coming elites from the Mediterranean countries and as a nursery for projects of the Union for the Mediterranean. Topics of common interest will be analysed at the House of the Mediterranean, and concrete recommendations will be elaborated. It will also serve to promote and disseminate knowledge on the Mediterranean with the aim of securing maximum participation in integration projects in the region.
